History
Internet-supported education activities at Sakarya University began in 1998 and expanded with on-campus courses in 1999 and the Computer Technology and Programming and Information Management Associate Degree Programs in 2001. In 2002, the Business Administration Program was added to the associate degree programs. Initially affiliated with Sakarya Vocational School, the three internet-supported associate degree programs were transferred to Adapazarı Vocational School in February 2003. In the 2003–2004 academic year, the Mechatronics and Industrial Electronics programs were established. As of 2009, the Computer Technology and Programming Program was renamed Computer Programming, while the Industrial Electronics Program was renamed Electronics Technology.
In the 2011–2012 academic year, the Internet and Network Technologies Program was established, while the Information Management and Business Management programs were discontinued in the same academic year.
In the 2013–2014 academic year, the Occupational Health and Safety Program was established. In 2020, the Web Design and Programming, Health Information Systems Technology, and Emergency and Disaster Management programs were introduced, bringing the total number of programs admitting students to eight.
